Staffs of L.Atoll council, Fonadhoo and Gan council have been trained to use the Economic Ministry portal.
The registrar of companies Mariyam Visam told Miadhu News that the trainings were conducted in Gan and Fonadhoo starting from Last Thursday.
"Our teams went to these islands and conducted the training" said Visam.
Visaam said that the staffs who received the training will now know how to issue business permits and other permits via the portal. "We conducted a meeting at Gan Council Office and made sure that the staffs know how to use the portal" said Visaam.
She said that the permits which previously took 7 days to approve now can be approved within a working day via the portal. She said that this will be beneficial for the whole atoll. "The people will accept these measures when they realize thatthe speed of the services are significantly faster" said Visaam.
Similar training programs are scheduled this year by the ministry.
