More than 2000 youths visited the job fair: HDC

HDC have said that more than 2000 youths visited the job fair that was held at Hulhumale’ on saturday.

Speaking to Miadhu News, an official from HDC said that more than 2000 youths visited the fair and a lot of them applied for jobs. “It is difficult to state the exact number of youths who applied for jobs at the fair because they did it on their own directly to the stalls” said the official.

According to estimates more than 75 percent of the youths who visited the fair applied for jobs. Hence this is more than 60 percent than that of the available opportunities at the fair. It was announced that more than 1000 jobs will be offered during the fair. This is the first program of the kind to be held at Hulhumale’.

The managing director of HDC, Muhammad Saiman have said that thousands of new jobs will be created with the second phase of Hulhumale development.
