Chancellor of Islamic University Dr.Muhammad Shaheem Ali Saeed have stated that the Saudi Ambassador to Maldives H.E Badr Al-Kohail giving a gift to Haafiz Nabeeh for memorizing the Quran within a short period of time, is a notable service.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Dr.Shaheem said that, the ambassador also gave same gifts to a student who spoke fluently in Arabic during a ceremony. “This shows that the ambassador gives a high priority to the development of Maldivian students. It shows how much he wants to encourage Maldivian students” said Dr.Shaheem.
Dr.Shaheem said that he believes, that the Ambassador celebrating the achievement of Haafiz Nabeeh is a huge service for the betterment of Maldivian students. “When achievements of talented students are celebrated, it will encourage them to work harder. That is a big achievement for Islam and Maldives as well” said Dr.Shaheem.
Dr.Shaheem said that the Embassy of Saudi Arabia is the only embassy of an Arab country in the Maldives. He said that the embassy is providing numerous services to the people of Maldives. “The assistance provided to the education sector by Saudi government is a huge gift by Saudis to the entire Maldivian community. Saudi Embassy works hard to get assistance to Maldives from other Arab countries as well. They work really hard for the betterment of Maldives. The embassy continues to provide invaluable services for the development of the country and the society” said Dr.Shaheem.
Dr.Shaheem said that there will be people who cannot digest the fact that the embassy of Saudi Arabia is doing a lot of work to develop the economy of Maldives and to spread Islamic education in the Maldives. He said that however, the people of Maldives accepts the services of the embassy. “Maldivians will be always thankful to King of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdul Azeez, the Saudi government and the Saudi Ambassador. There is no doubt that Maldivians will love them from the bottom of their hearts” said Dr.Shaheem.
