Chinese Ambassador to Maldives, Mr.Wang Fukang have said that there are many similarities between Maldivian and Chinese cultures and the biggest similarity is the value given to close friendships in both the cultures.
Speaking at a cultural show held last night to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and China the ambassador said that the most important cultures in all cultures are the beautiful traditions. The show was organized by the Chinese Embassy and the National Center for the Arts. The show’s title was “Happy Chinese New year – Wonderful Jiangsu”.
The ambassador said that Jiangsu province, his home province has a rich culture and traditions. He said that people from the province works hard to retain their beautiful traditions. He said that Maldivians will benefit from getting exposed to such beautiful cultures.
In addition, the ambassador said that the relations between Maldives and China are at its peak. He said that then the next step is to conduct various cultural activities to strengthen and retain relations between the people of the two countries. The ambassador assured that he will always work to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
