Institutions should focus on providing education that benefits Islamic world: King Salman
King of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdul Azeez have said that educational institutions in Muslim countries should focus on providing education that will benefit the Islamic World.
King Salman made this statement while speaking at a ceremony held at Islamic International University of Malaysia. IIUM awarded an honorary doctorate to King Salman. IIUM awarded this honorary doctorate to King Salman, recognizing his effort for peace in the Islamic world and his work in creating unity among Islamic nations.
Speaking at the ceremony King Salman said that various Islamic countries are facing economic problems and it is a huge challenge that Islamic countries do not have people trained in technical fields.
IIUM is a research university with over 20,000 students from various countries. The university has 2000 academic staffs and one of the most prestigious universities in the Islamic world.
