Biggest project of MDP government was trying to get Israeli flights to land in Maldives!
A government official has stated that the largest project of MDP government was to create a special team to strengthen relations with Israel with Ameen Faisal as the leader of this group. Also, the official said that they tried hard to allow Israeli flights to land in Maldives.

The official said that MDP made all the arrangements and even scheduled to land the flight in Maldives at midnight, but it could not be done because Sri Lanka did not give permission to do that. “Israel was trying to operate flights to Sri Lanka and Maldives. Sri Lanka refused to give permission and it was not feasible for them to operate flights only to Maldives. Related documents can be found in Civil Aviation Authority even now” said the official.

Speaking at the parliament yesterday MP for Fonadhoo constituency Abduh Raheem said that some people cannot digest the fact that the president is developing the nation and are spreading false stories such as the government is trying to sell Faafu Atoll.

“What are they trying to do ? No leader in the history of Maldives was able to bring in foreign investments like President Yameen. No one could earn the trust of investors like the president. The relation between our government and foreign governments are strong. You all know how strong the relation between Maldives and Saudi Arabia is. As far as I know, no Saudi King has ever arrived in the Maldives. But with the will of Allah, in March the king of Saudi Arabia will visit Maldives. In the early days of president Yameen’s administration the president of China visited Maldives. As a result we can see a bridge being developed between Male’ and Hulhumale’ that signifies the friendship between the two nations. With the will of Allah, we do not know for sure how much we will benefit from the visit of King Salman. This is real development. This is what happens when leaders try to take the people on the path that the people desire” said Abduh Raheem.
