MP for Gemanafushi, Jameel Usmaan said that the people of Maldives will give an award to the president based on his services to the nation.
Speaking at a ceremony held to hand over membership forms of over 600 newly joined members to PPM from Gemanafushi constituency to President Yameen, MP Jameel Usmaan said that even Gemanafushi has given an award to the president and that it was in recognition of the president’s services to Gemanafushi in the last three years.
Jameel Usman said that when Salman Rushdie described verses the Quran as satanic, he was given a lot of awards. He said that Maldives does not want any such awards.
“We want an award for developing the nation. By empowering the nation” said Jameel Usmaan.
