President Yameen have stated that the government of Maldives will not write secret letters asking for money to countries which are trying to be independent. He said that the government will conduct affairs transparently within the boundaries set by the law to bring in investments.
Speaking at a ceremony held today to handover membership forms from newly joined members of PPM to President Yameen, the president said that such letters written by previous governments can be seen today.
In addition, he said that the government will not sell national resources and the government will get back such resources which were sold by previous governments. The president said that F.Atoll project will be a great resource for the country. “When my term ends, I cannot take F.Atoll project to my home in a hand bag” said the president.
The president said that the government does not want to drown but will always try to go towards a safe destination.
