Indian Ambassador to Maldives, Akhilesh Mishra have said that the biggest service to anyone would be providing education.
He made this statement during a ceremony held last night at the Indian Cultural Center to celebrate itech day. He said that it is very important to provide education and develop skilled people and that India is providing scholarships to Maldives to help Maldives. He said that the purpose is to empower Maldivians and to make sure that they get good income.
The ambassador said that the students benefit in many ways by studying in India. He said that they get used to a whole new environment and make new friends. In addition he said that they learn various life skills. He asked the students to retain the friendships formed during their time in India.
Some students who studied with scholarships from India, shared their experiences during the meeting. They told how their life progressed with the things they learned from that opportunity. The ambassador hosted a dinner for all the participants of the meeting.
