Campaign to boost religious spirit and patriotism has been launched with a colorful ceremony. The campaign was officially launched by President Yameen last night.
Speaking at the ceremony, Abduh Rasheed Hussain the president of ‘Tharika’ committee , the committee formed to conduct this campaign, said that this campaign will change everything in Maldives in accordance with Maldivian culture. He said that the project will be conducted all over the country.
Abduh Rasheed said that Maldivians have lost patriotism and a lot from traditions and cultures because it has not been taken care of for a long time. He said that even though the president announced the project on 6thFebruary, they started working on the project in January. He said that while the president said that the project will be started within 2 months, they have been able to start it within a month because of the priority given to the project by the president.
This national campaign will be conducted for 3 years.
