The managing director of STO, Ahmed Shaheer have said that STO has 4000 staffs and they always prioritize national service.
In a ceremony held this morning to launch measles vaccination program for STO staffs, Shaheer said that the head office of STO has 400 staffs and including the subsidiary companies of STO, STO has 4000 staffs.
Shaheer said that STO will always take part in endeavors that are beneficial for the nation. He also said that, since STO and Health Ministry often work together they will give special attention to projects run by STO. In addition, he said that, the fact that the measles vaccination campaign was launched at the President’s office shows the importance of the campaign. He also said that it shows that the president desires Maldivians to be healthy.
STO is managing pharmacies in all islands of Maldives. In addition to importing medicine STO takes initiative in various social responsibility projects. Places like Guraidhoo Health Center and children’s shelters often receive assistance from staffs of STO as well.
