Nazeera Ibrahim, Aminath Majeedha, Samiya Zakariyya and Ifhaam Hussain have won the Rehendhi Award, an award given to women by the government for notable women in the country every year.
In a ceremony held this morning, the women were given the award by the president and a special badge was given to them by the first lady.
Nazeera’s services can be seen in the social sector and is also active in politics. Majeedha was awarded for her services to the economic sector. Saamiyaa Zakariyya is active in religious affairs and is also a member of Shariah boards in many companies. Ifham Hussain is the founder of Autism Association and continues to run the association.
