Representative of WHO has praised the steps taken by Maldives to prevent spreading of various diseases.
The WHO team who visited Maldives to see how much Maldives has implemented the WHO resolution passed in 2005 on developing the public health, held a meeting today at Hotel Jen. Speaking at the meeting, representatives of WHO said that Maldives has taken exemplary steps to eradicate diseases and to prevent spreading of diseases.
The representatives said that Maldives have made exemplary achievements in a regional level. They asked to retain these achievements. In addition, they asked to introduce some new services at IGMH laboratory and some other services as well. The representative said that they believe that the government has the intention to develop the health sector.
