13 PPM candidates contesting for Male’ city council has officially launched their campaign last night.
The ceremony to launch these candidates were attended by first lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim and senior officials of the government. Speaking at the ceremony, all the candidates said that they will work with the government to bring development to Male’ city. MP for Mahchan Goalhi Dhekunu Abdullah Sinaan said that MDP won the majority of Male’ city council in the last two terms, yet they were not able to bring any developments to Male’.
Sinaan said that when some of the mandates of Male’ city council were switched to Housing Ministry; the minister has to be busy unnecessarily. He said that it happens because the MDP dominated council have not done anything for the development of Male’.
