Youth Minister Irthishaam Adam have said that women can be empowered by working hard for it. She made this statement while speaking at a conference organized by PPM’s women’s branch on Friday.
Minister said that women should discuss among themselves what can be down to empower themselves and decide on a way forward. She said that every woman should decide a field she wants to go further in and work hard to achieve that.
She said that everything in the society happens with the participation of women. Hence, it is an achievement of women to be of a service to others. In addition, she said that family and the society develops with the hard work of women. She also said that it is women who plays the biggest role in upbringing children and hence it will be women who makes sure that the children are brought up in accordance with Islam.
Irthishaam also talked about the importance of women engaging in own businesses rather than only working for someone to go forward in life. This is the second such conference organized by PPM. The first one was held last year.
