A famous religious scholar of Maldives have said that the ongoing campaigns are being conducted with the aim of creating hatred towards religious scholars and Saudi Arabia.
The sheikh who worked actively for a multi-party system, said that some people are spreading lies about Saudi Arabia so that the Muslims will lose respect for Saudi Arabia.
“Because of the stories, they have spread about religious scholars now who respects religious scholars? who listens to what religious scholars have to say now? If someone makes a political statement it becomes viral on social media. But why not the religious statements made by the scholars?” questioned the sheikh.
The sheikh said that the current problem would not occur even if the government decided to sell south of Huvadhoo Kandu to EU, UK or USA. “Wasn’t it them who sold the main international port of Maldives to foreigners without any control over it? When flights had to be cancelled due to high price in fuel, and when the then president Dr.Waheed asked GMR to reduce the price they refused to do so, and they were able to do this because the airport was sold with all these rights” said the sheikh.
The sheikh said that Jews always try to defame religious scholars and what we see in Maldives is the same. “They say that Saudi Arabia creates terrorists. This is also part of this propaganda. Only agents of jews will spread such stories” said the sheikh.
He said that such stories will create hatred towards Saudi Arabia among the people. He said that people will start seeing the land of Saudi Arabia as worthless, the land which Quran was revealed on. He further said that, if people are unhappy about a decision of the government, they should talk truthfully and should refrain from making malicious statements.
The ongoing campaign is a campaign to create hatred towards Saudi Arabia and religious scholars!
