Health Ministry have said that the hospitals of Maldives have the capacity to treat even the most serious cases of H1N1.
According to some sources a pregnant woman is being treated at the ICU of IGMH for H1N1. Speaking to the press last night about H1N1, Dr.Abdullah Niyaf of ADK said that, the disease is considered serious when the lung stops functioning properly and when the patient has to breathe through a ventilator.
In addition, Dr.Niyaf said that even though Maldives has the vaccine for influence, the stock is limited and it will be used sparingly. He said that people with the disease should not have to be given the vaccine and they should be given themil flue medicine.
