Japan has decided to train Maldivian athletes for the 2020 Olympics and Paralympic games.
This decision was made after the Maldivian Ambassador to Japan Muhammad Hussain Shareed (Mundhu) met with the mayor of Odawara City of Japan.
All countries of the world get to participate in Olympics. All the countries can take part in swimming and athletics, but for other events athletes will have to qualify first. The 2020 Olympics will be held from 24th July to 9th September.
