Sierra of Sri Lanka has agreed to develop a Maldivian park at Sosun Villa, the Maldivian Cultural Center in Colombo.
Sierra conducts major projects in Maldives. They said that this project will be conducted as part of their CSR program. The project is worth 1.6 million Rufiyaa.
In a ceremony held at Housing Minister this afternoon to sign the agreement, Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu said that it was President Yameen who decided to conduct this project based on the requests of the Maldivians living in Sri Lanka.
He said that the project will be completed within 6 months and the Maldivians in Sri Lanka will benefit from the park. The park will be like parks like Rasfannu and other parks in Maldives. At the moment Sosun Villa is being used as a cultural center. Subjects like Dhivehi and Islam are taught at the center and hence a lot of people uses it.
