While a lot of criticism is directed towards the healthcare system of Maldives, 15th March of 1987 was a happy day for Maldivians.
It was the day ADK hospital, the largest private hospital in the Maldives opened. They started from humble beginnings and today has earned the love and respect of people.
The hospital aims to be an internationally recognized hospital. There is no reason they cannot do this. They must have gained valuable experiences, coming this far. The biggest success according to them is being able to treat people after hearing what the patient have to say.
The hospital always tries to provide the most modern and latest medical services to the people. They have announced that they are getting ready to introduce new services this year.
Especially, a lot of infrastructure development is going on while the work of an operation theatre complex is underway. In addition, the hospital is increasing their bed capacity by 80. Furthermore, a new high dependency unit has been opened with a capacity of 12 beds.
While, ADK has managed to successfully establish itself as the most prestigious private medical institution in the Maldives with experienced staffs, the hospital often provides training opportunity for their staffs from Maldives and abroad.
In addition to providing top class medical care, the hospital often conducts various social responsibility programs. From various sporting events to medical expos, ADK never fails to contribute.
A statement released by the hospital on the occasion of the 30th anniversary, they thanked people who gets services from the hospital and noted that the productive criticism of the people helped the hospital to grow.
