President Yameen have said that Maldives should be able to win Saff Championship and retain the title after winning.
Speaking at a reception held last night to celebrate TC winning the championship of the “Sheikh Kamaal International Cup 2017” the president said that he implements youth and sports related activities under a special plan.
He said that once a club reaches the first division, the players should have a special code of conduct and if they can go on in that regard, they can be successful. President said that sports is very important and sportsmen should thrive to reach the top and success can be achieved through hard work.
“If the person who hoists the flag hoists it half mast, then it will not be a proper hoisting. Flags should be hoisted at the top” said the president.
In addition the president said that the achievement of TC has made the country proud and asked to remain that way. He advised the club players to work hard to make sure that 50 percent of the national squad comes from TC sports club.
The president said that the most important thing is retaining the success after achieving it and he asked the club to retain the club’s success.
