MMA has denied the allegations that dollars were brought to Male’ by helicopters and then moved into MMA.
A statement released by MMA tonight states that the allegations that boxes of dollars were brought to Male’ via helicopters and then moved in to MMA, does not contain an ounce of truth.
The statement further said that, the authority will take action against those who spread false information about MMA and their staffs.
“We are concerned that some politicians and others are spread rumors about this authority. Those who make these allegations are purely doing it for political gains and to create mistrust among the public towards the financial system of Maldives and to destabilize the financial system” said the statement.
MMA requested not to spread false rumors and not to believe such rumors.
