Reuters is more concerned about Maldives than the Maldivian media
Reuters is more concerned about the ongoing outbreak of influenza in Maldives than the Maldivian media.

Even if Maldivian media is unsure about this flu, Reuters is very aware of what the flu is. Those who try to hinder development of the Maldives and were determined to stop the state visit of King Salman to Maldives, sees 10 people as dozens of people.

While some medias reported that dozens of people have been tested positive for swine flu, so far only 10 people have been found positive for swine flu out of the 343 people who were tested.

Even if the traitorous Maldivians spread false information, Reuters reported very accurately. Their news report about the situation was more beneficial to the Maldivians than most of the Maldivian news outlets. This is what we call responsible journalism.

It looks like Maldivian media forgot the terms “flu” or “fever”. The only term they can use is swine flu now. However Reuters is well aware that what is spreading in Maldives currently is H1N1 influenza A and that it is sometimes known as swine flu as well.

Reporting about King Salmaan’s visit, Reuters stated that he delayed his visit as a safety precaution. They reported just as Foreign Minister Dr.Asim stated.
