Criminal Court of the Maldives has warned the journalists of Maldives not to defame government officials and stated that such publications promote terrorism.
A statement released by the Criminal Court today states that some media outlets are trying to destabilize the country and are inciting violence.
“Some journalists are trying to create hatred towards government officials and to defame state institutions” says the statement.
The criminal court statement asked the journalist to stop promoting terrorism at once.
