Large amount of expired beef has been exported by Brazil the largest beef exporter in the world. These were exported under false certificates.
Chinese officials ordered port authorities of China to hold all beef exported from Brazil with customs. EU released a similar order. Several countries are also checking beef that has already been imported into the country.
The president of Brazil said that, action should not be taken against the whole meat industry due to the actions of few exporters. Since even Maldives exports beef from various countries, people should take precaution.
The best course of action at this moment is not to buy any beef or beef products of Brazil.
