Economic Ministry have stated the Business Center Corporation will bring huge developments to small and medium enterprises.
Speaking to the press Deputy Economic Ministry Adam Thaufeeg said that with the formation of this corporation, existing business centers will be managed by the corporation and hence their services will be expanded further.
He said that in addition to providing services that are already provided by the business centers, the corporation will assist businesses in many other ways. Thaufeeg said that the SME park that is being developed at Hulhumale’ will also be managed by this corporation.
The purpose of this corporation is to assist small and medium enterprises without depending on the state budget. The government arranged a 50 million Rufiyaa credit facility to the corporation.
It was a pledge of the president to develop SMEs and provide mechanisms for youths to earn money. Even now various other programs are conducted by the government to increase economic activities targeted for youth.
The projects are being conducted with the help of ADB and IDB as well.
