Ooredoo and Housing Development Corporation (HDC) today signed an agreement for the construction and development of Ooredoo Headquarters in Hulhumalé.
This agreement was signed by theChief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Maldives, Vikram Sinha and the Managing Director of HDC, Mohamed Saiman at a function held at HDC head office this morning.
Ooredoo is expected to become the first to setup its headquarters in Hulhumale’ from among major corporations operating in the Maldives, as well as becoming the first multi-national company to do the same.
Chief Executive Officer ofOoredoo Maldives said: “This is a significant milestone for Ooredoo Maldives, as we setup our home in the beautiful city of Hulhumale’.Our goal is to create an inspiring and technology-enabledenvironmentfor our employees, designed to foster creativity and innovation in their work to develop ground-breaking solutions for the people of Maldives. We aim to make the building a hub of digital innovation in Hulhumale’, and have reserved a space in the building to house a state of the art business incubator for aspiring youth”
Our new headquarters aims to be exemplary in creating an employee-friendly environment, where going to work becomes an enjoyable experience. To ensure an employee friendly space, the building has been designed to include a café, fitness center, and an on-site day care center for working parents.
Director of Human Resources & Administration, Mohamed Shahid said: “Our new headquarters will allow us to implement modern employee centric approaches, and build an open office culture for fostering greater teamwork and collaboration across all levels. Furthermore, conveniences such as day care servicesfor working parents, as well as recreation and staff hangout facilities are expected to add value to the everyday life of staff. This project will play an integral role in our efforts to become the Employer of Choice in the Maldives”
Ooredoo will officially begin the development of their flagship building within the month, and aims to complete the project within 18 months.
