77th Pakistan Day celebrated in Maldives !
77th Pakistan Day has been celebrated in Maldives last night. A ceremony was held at Hotel Jen last night to celebrate this day. Youth Minister of Maldives Iruthisham Adam was the guest of honor at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the minister noted that it has been 51 years since Maldives and Pakistan established diplomatic relations and said that Pakistan continues to assist Maldives in different areas. She said that especially, Pakistan has assisted in developing professionals of the medical sector.

In addition she said that, both the countries always work together in a regional level and in OIC as well. She said that as a result both the countries are benefitting from it.

The minister thanked Pakistan for their continued assistance to the Maldives. Speaking at the ceremony the Pakistani ambassador to Maldives said that since both the countries are Islamic countries there are close relations between the two in terms of language and culture as well.

The ambassador noted that there is a huge support for the Urdu class conducted in Maldives. In addition he noted that there is a huge support for Pakistani dramas among Maldivians.

Last night’s ceremony was attended by senior government officials and diplomats in Maldives.
