Leader of MDA, Ahmed Shiyam have said that some countries envy the development Maldives is attaining in recent years.
Speaking at press conference held by PPM and MDA, Shiyam said that Maldives is the fastest developing country in the whole region. He said that especially in terms of providing fundamental rights and services, Maldives is in the top.
Shiyam said that Maldives is undergoing huge developments and many countries are praising this process. Shiyam said that the opposition is trying to take a vote of no confidence against parliament speaker Maseeh not because he has any problems, but because they want to harass the government.
