PPM’s disciplinary committee has decided to remove MP Waheed of Thulusdhoo constituency from the party. The committee held a meeting last night and with the consensus of the 5 members of the committee, they decided to remove Waheed.
PPM have said that various complaints against Waheed has been submitted to the committee. Those include criticizing the government openly and conducting anti-government activities. In addition the party says that Waheed continues to violate the whip line of the party’s PG group.
Even though Waheed was asked to send his representatives or present himself to the committee, the decision was made in his absentia. According to the constitution of the party, Waheed has the chance to appeal the case.
In addition, the committee has decided to remove Faaris Maumoon the MP for Dhiggaru constituency as well. He was removed because he violated a three line whip of the party.
