Maldives Road Development Corporation has been contracted with developing jetties of 6 islands. The total cost of the project is 14.3 million Rufiyaa.
In a ceremony held at Housing Ministry today, Housing Minister Dr.Muhammad Muizzu signed the agreement while MD of MRDC Muhammad Nimal signed the agreement on behalf of MRDC.
The islands where jetties will be developed are B.Fehendhoo, B.Fulhadhoo, R.Rasgetheemu, V.Fulhidhoo, V.Rakeedhoo and M.Rayymandhoo.
The cost for Fehendhoo and Fulhadhoo jetties is 2.2 million Rufiyaa while the cost for Rasgetheemu jetty is 3.3 million Rufiyaa. In addition, Fulidhoo jetty will cost 2.5 million Rufiyaa while Rakeedhoo jetty will cost 1.8 million Rufiyaa. Lastly Raimandhoo jetty will cost 2.2 million Rufiyaa.
These islands are among the least populated islands in the Maldives.
