Maldivian Police service has arrested Former commissioner of Police, MP Abdulla Riyaz under court order.
He was arrested in Maaveyo magu while he was coming to opposition rally tonight around 10.00PM. Police media official confirmed his arrest. “Presently he is under police custody. He is taken for an enquiry on ongoing police case.” Official said.
Mr Riyaz is the deputy leader of JP and Deputy Leader of JP Parliamentary Group.
