Former CP and MP for Kinbidhoo constituency Abdullah Riyaz has been released after confiscating his phone.
He was arrested at 10:00 pm last night and released around 12:00 am. MP for Kendhoo constituency Ali Hussain said that Abdullah Riyaz was arrested with a court warrant on Maaveyo Magu. Previously police confiscated mobile phone of Ali Hussain as well.
Council member of JP Ali Solih also said that Riyaz was arrested while he was on his way to Kunooz. A media official of the police said that Riyaz was summoned to the police station regarding an ongoing investigation. However the official did not reveal what the investigation was about.
