Government have stated that the government is still ready for dialogue, but will not allow to create unrest in the parliament and on the streets.
Speaking to the press at the president’s office today, Fisheries Minister Dr.Muhammad Shainee said that if there are any concerns the opposition is most welcome to talk with the government but the government will not allow them to create unrest and destabilize the country.
Dr.Shainee said that, independent institutions will investigate cases based on the complaints made to them but, the government will not abduct people like former president Nasheed did. In addition he said that even though the government is ready to talk, government is not willing to take unlawful measures to make the opposition happy and said that the government enjoys majority support of the public.
