Minister at the President’s Office, Ahmed Zuhoor have said that former President Maumoon’s actions in the name of PPM can be investigated.
Speaking to the press held at the President’s office today, Zuhoor made this statement as a member of PPM. He said that PPM is now being administered lawfully, with a court order after it was paralyzed for some time.
Zuhoor said that, the court has given the chief advisor of the party, all the authority to administer the party. He said that hence, Maumoon cannot use the party’s stamp and act on behalf of PPM anymore. In addition, he said that the main problem faced with Maldivian parties is that, those who are involved in the founding of the party treats the party as their personal property. “No party is a personal property. Party should be administered based on how the party members want” said Zuhoor.
He said that now the party is being managed by decisions taken from the party council and there should not be any problems. In addition, he said that no one can hijack the party now.
