Deputy Leader of JP, Dr.Hussain Rasheed have said that the opposition does not want to change the government but they want to hold the government accountable.
Speaking tonight Dr.Hussain said that it is the parliament which should hold the government accountable and problems arise because the parliament has failed in doing their duty.
“The opposition is trying to make the parliament more responsible. When parliament is responsible even the government will benefit it” said Dr.Hussain.
He said that even the president expressed sadness regarding MMPRC corruption and if the parliament is accountable the government will not face these problems. In addition, he said that major problems in the country can be solved when room for discussion is provided for the parliament members.
