Women on Boards has recognized the contribution done by Associate Professor Dr.Aishath Muneeza to empower women in Islamic finance sector. Dr.Muneeza is the chairperson of Maldives Center for Islamic Finance.
In the annual award ceremony of Women on Boards held at Hotel Jen tonight, Dr.Muneeza was given a special award recognizing her work in this field. The award was handed over to her by First Lady, Madam Fathimath Ibrahim.
Dr.Muneeza is doing important work in other countries as well to promote Islamic Finance. She often delivers keynotes in various conferences related to Islamic Finance around the world. She is also involved in developing people in this field.
She is among the most influential 500 women in the Islamic finance sector. She also teaches at the Islamic University of Maldives. In addition, she is the chairperson and member of the Shariah board of many companies in Maldives.
