National councils of JP and MDP have passed resolutions to start street protests after the arrest of JP leader Qasim Ibrahim tonight.
In two separate meetings held by the councils of both parties, the resolutions were passed with consensus of all the members.
Both the parties requested as many people as possible to join the activities and said that they will keep announcing their plans. JP said that they will not resort to any unlawful activities and will do everything within the means of the law.
Qasim was arrested after police said that they have finished investigating his case. A lot of lawyers are raising concerns over the issue. Many people are calling the government to treat Qasim justly and not to resort to oppression.
