Housing Ministry has started repairing Fandiyaaru Magu infront of Kunooz suddenly today.
Previously road repairs are carried out after removing vehicles from the street and after preparing it for repair work. However, today they started repairing without any such preparations.
The SG of JP, Ahmed Sameer said that development ‘came’ to that area all of a sudden. “ The opposition 4 parties are doing a lot of work in Kunooz these days. A lot of work regarding the local council elections is also going on here” said Sameer.
Sameer said that such tactics will not discourage the position and they will become stronger. The Bangladeshi workers who were working their said that they got the order all of a sudden and they went there because they got the order.
Opposition parties suspect that this was done to prevent people from gathering near Kunoozu. Council member of JP, Ali Solih said that such actions are taken to intimidate the opposition.
“When someone says something against this it will give them a chance to arrest that person. This is sad” said Ali Solih.
Currently Housing Ministry is developing Majeedhee Magu in front of Arabiyya. They have finished the work in front of Kunooz months earlier.
