Miadhu News has learned that people from various islands are planning to go to Male’ to join the protests calling to free JP LeaderQasim Ibrahim.
People started protesting in some islands when Qasim was arrested last night. People of ADH.Dhigurah said that Qasim provides assistance to everyone in the island. People from Adh.Fenfushi also said the same. In addition, people of Adh.Maamigili and people form several other islands said the same.
People from these islands consider Qasim as the father of their islands. They said that if anything happens to them Qasim always takes care of them. They said that as long as Qasim is in jail they will continue to protest and even will go to Male’ to join the protests in Male’.
“How we can stay in the islands when our father is arrested just for pleasure of some people. He has never commited any crime. He will never make a crime. We know hin for several years.” Says many people from Islands.
