Biggest worry of JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim’s supporters is that he has faced life threatening circumstances in Dhoonidhoo in the past.
It is suspected that Qasim’s life was in danger when he was detained at Dhoonidhoo in 2004 regarding the August 12,13 public rally the famous Black Friday in Maldives.
There are many reasons why it is suspected that he was poisioned intentionally. His family was not allowed to meet him after he was taken to IGMH when his conditioned worsened. Even with the treatment given at IGMH the shaking of his hands did not stop but still the government did not give permission for him to leave the country to seek healthcare abroad. Also, he was not allowed to bring in his personal doctors from Germany as well. This went on until any medical tests would not show any signs of foul play.
It is not a problem when Qasim’s supporters starts remembering those days when he got detained this time. People who experienced Qasim suffering like someone with Parkinson’s disease will start to remember those days now and that is quite natural.
His supporters don’t want to see him poisioned again, he is a father to all all.
