PG group of PPM have stated that they will stop censure motions against the speaker and the deputy speaker of the parliament by amending the parliament regulations.
Speaking at a press conference held today, the PG leader of PPM Ahmed Nihaan said that in the vote taken on 27th March 48 members voted in favor of the speaker of the parliament even though only 43 votes were required.
Nihaan said that even though the majority decided that they have confidence in the speaker, the opposition has filed a censure motion against the speaker for a second time. He said that it shows that the opposition is irresponsible and just wants to obstruct the government.
Nihaan said that a join-parliamentary session of the ruling coalition will be held today and they will decide how to act in this case. He said that the parliament’s regulations will be amended to prevent the opposition form proposing censure motions.
