People who serve the nation are given the highest honor– in Maldives they get a jail cell: Hussain Solih
Hussain Solih have said that in other countries, people who serve the nation and its people are given the highest honor while in Maldives such people get a jail cell.

Hussein Solih said that there are wealthy people in all the countries but only a few spend their wealth for the country and the people. He said that if we look at Maldives JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim is an exemplary figure in spending for the betterment of the people and the country.

He said that if Qasim didn’t distribute his wealth among the people, he could have become the Bill Gates of Maldives. He said that Qasim is not that wealthy because he spent his wealth on the people and the country.

In addition, he said that the people of Maldives are worried and out on the streets after Qasim was detained is due to the numerous services given to the people by Qasim.

He said that in all the islands of Maldives, people are protesting every day calling for the freedom of Qasim. Hussen Solih said that people are not able to protest in Male’ because the police is preventing them from doing so but if permission is given streets will be filled with people calling the government to release Gasim from jail.

Hussain Solih said that Qasim started ‘aasandha’ on his own 30 years ago. He said that instead of giving a limited amount of money he created his own centers in India and continued to treat people until they are well. In addition, he said that Qasim believed that Maldives will develop when people are educated and hence he gave more scholarships to the people than the government and even now continues to do so.

Furthermore, he said that it was also Qasim who trained divers to fish for baits and all of this shows that Qasim is a visionary leader. He said that in all the countries, such people are given the highest honor but in Maldives it is very different. He said that in Maldives such people are being punished unlawfully.

Hussein Solih called the government to free Qasim immediately.
