Government’s spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz have said that the opposition does not have the courage to take part in dialogue with the government because they are cowards.

Muaz said that the opposition is not sincere to the people. He said that the development of Maldives was at a snail’s speed for 33 years and now they cant bear to witness the country being developed at such a fast pace within 3 years.

Recently the leader of JP, Qasim Ibrahim said that JP always accepted the government’s invitation to join the dialogue and even sent a list of people who would represent the party after a party council approval.

Meanwhile, Qasim Ibrahim has been arrested by the police unlawfully and is kept in Dhoonidhoo since 6th of this month.
