Opposition politicians have met with Shoko Noda the UN resident coordinator in Maldives.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, MP Abdullah Shahid have said that they shared information about how the government is treating the opposition in Maldives and about the political situation of Maldives.
In addition, he said that they talked about the challenges faced by the journalists and about how the government is intimidating political opposition through various state institutions. Shahid said that they have planned more meetings with different foreign representatives to talk about the latest political situation in Maldives.
