People of GA Villingili has protested on the streets calling the government to rule justly. The participants of the protest are saying that the current administration is unjust and no citizen has peace or freedom.
They are saying that political leaders who are detained should be freed and called the government to stop intimidating Qasim Ibrahim. They also said that the charges against Qasim Ibrahim are unjust and asked to withdraw the charges.
They also called to release Ibrahim Haneef, a man from Villingili. A participant of the protest said that Haneef will not harm or plan to harm anyone and the charges against him are politically motivated. In addition, they said that the people of that island worked hard to bring the current administration into power, but they had to withdraw their support to the government because the government is unjust.
A lot of people who support Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom also took part in the protest today.
