Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have said that he does not wish to create any unrest in the country but he wants to see that the affairs of the country is being carried out in accordance with the law.

Abdullah Riyaz made this statement speaking to the press after the trial at the criminal court today.

The court has given Abdullah Riyaz 7 days to answer the charges made by the state against him. Even though the police requested to detain Riyaz until the trial is over the criminal court decided that there is no reason to keep him in detention.

Riyaz is being charged for refusing to handover the password of his phone to the police. Riyaz said that he did not give the password at the first instance because the court warrant did not state that he should give the lock code. He said that he gave the code later teven without the court oder to avoid conflicts , but he realized that they broke the lock and unlocked his phone.

In addition, today also hehe assured to the public that he did not commit a crime and he will continue to work in the reform movement. Furthermore, Riyaz said that the people has given him a great responsibility. He also said that all state institutions should be responsible and that they should prioritize fulfilling the responsibility given to them by law.
