The Criminal Court has ruled that there is no reasonable cause to detain Qasim until the trial is over.
The state is charging in three different cases. In today’s hearing the court gave Qasim 7 days to answer the allegations made by the state.
Speaking to the press after coming out of the Criminal Court, Qasim said that he is thankful to Allah and that he is happy about how the trial went today. Qasim said that he is working to make sure that the state institutions are fully developed and empowered. He said that he was happy to see progress.
Qasim’s lawyers said that the state requested to detain Qasim till the trial is over however, the court refused to do so and that shows that they are close to attaining justice.
At first the court suspended Qasim’s lawyer Hisaan Hussein from representing Qasim at the trial. However, Hisaan apologized and court allowed her to represent Qasim in today’s hearing.
