Prominent lawyer Maumoon Hameed have said that bombs are made to kill people and there is a man who made 3 bombs but so far it is not known whether any action was taken against him. He said that however MP for Kinbindhoo Abdullah Riyaz is being prosecuted for not obeying the police order as they want.
Maumoon Hameed said that making a bomb is an act of terror and saying that he developed the bomb on the request of a minister is not a reason for him not to be prosecuted.
He said that actions should be taken based on the severity of the crime and the institutions should do it responsibly. He said that the safety of a society can be only guaranteed when action is taken against dangerous criminals.
He said that however today we see that people who disobey the police are being prosecuted more quickly than terrorists and thieves. He said that the institutions responsible for ensuring public safety and security should think about this carefully.
In addition Maumoon said that when enforcing laws the institutions should prioritize to enforce law impartially and in order. He said that today there is no order and the institutions should stop discriminating when they implement the law.
