Hunaaan Engineering of China has been awarded with the construction work of the highway connecting Hulhumale’ and Hulhule. The total cost of the project is 24 million dollars.
MD of HDC, Simon said that Hunaan Engineering was awarded the project after evaluating the bids proposed by 10 companies.
Simon said that the highway will be finished before the China-Maldives Friendship bridge. He said that once the high way is completed, vehicles can travel at a high speed on the high way without any difficulty.
HDC said that the project was awarded with some other projects such as reclaiming the land for the highway and also widening the streets of Hulhumale’ which will be connected with the highway.
Hunaan Construction and Engineering Company of China is a company that was formed in 1952. Since then the company has undertaken large projects in China and around the world. Major projects of them include developing bridges, roads and highways.
